Proverbs 5 and 6 are a continuation of the instructions the wise man is giving his son. Proverbs 5 and the end of Proverbs 6 teach him to avoid the adultress and to be satisfied with his wife. Why am I not always satisfied with the good the Lord has blessed me with?
In Ezekiel 16:1-14 the Lord tells of all the things he has done for and provided for Israel, yet verses 15-34 tell of Israel's many sins against the Lord. Am I any different? God has given me everything, yet I reject Him every day by some thought, word, or deed that dishonors Him. Lord, forgive me and keep me close to You.
