David feels deep anguish because of his sin, and one of the questions in my study was, when have you felt the way David did?

It occurred to me that I've had deep anguish only a few times in my life and it had far less to do with the fact that I've sinned, than with the fact that people might find out what I had done!! Obviously, that's wrong...ALL our sin should cause us the kind of anguish David displays in this Psalm, because ALL our sin is offensive to God.

I love verses 15 and 21 and 22:

For in You, O Lord, I hope;
You will hear, O Lord my God.
...
Do not forsake me, O Lord;
O my God, be not far from me!
Make haste to help me,
O Lord, my salvation!
