Writing:
copywork, as much as he can tolerate, preferably after some exercise :)
Reading:
read aloud to him and/or use books on tape
Start something simple like Alphaphonics or get a Victory Drill Book and start that when he's ready
lots of outside time (as weather permits)
math games
memory work (if you're so inclined)
puzzles
helping the family around the house
The older my dc get the more I realize I didn't need to do some of the things I did when they were little.
