Just yesterday a friend was telling me more about a homeschool personal finance class that is offered in our area. That class has a wonderful reputation, but when my friend was telling me more details, I kept saying, "ooops...I'm gonna be too involved in that assignment."

After she told me about 3 or 4 of the first few assignments the kids get for homework, I KNEW that class would not be for us (my particular child would just have to have a LOT of help doing these VERY simple-for-any-other-kid assignments).

Honestly, with your very busy lifestyle, I'd just pick some good books to order and plow through them as read alouds. Use the Rays for math and the McGuffy's for reading practice and call it a day.

What you are teaching your children with your farming and cooking is really MORE than any of these unit studies can offer.
