school work IS their JOB, for now.

Learning is what they need to be doing. If they learn what you have for them to learn, now while they ought to be learning it, they will be able to learn and do the work God has for them to do -- as in a job for making living and the Lord's position/ministry He has for each person in His plan for their life.
