My slower student this year (6th grade) is doing Wordsmith Apprentice twice a week and using a 4th grade book (Climbing to Good English) the other 3 days. I'm looking at the Hake through the links people shared, but it's hard to tell at a glance. Do you think I can jump him to the 6th grade book (for 7th grade), or should I use 5th??

I'm thinking I might get SOS for the more advanced student, because we can use it for slower boy the following year and his brother is doing much of his "writing" on the computer now. :)
