I looked at what was required in that state for public schoolers and how they allowed high school credits.

I have found in most states math and foreign language are the two areas that can be counted towards high school, when the courses are done in 8th grade.

But as Holly said, it is really up to you UNLESS your state mandates otherwise.

We didn't really do "grades." My kids had required coursework to graduate. We just always said they were in "XYZ grade" in case anyone asked the typical, "What grade are you in?"
