my oldest ds (ADHD and dyslexic) did great in the classroom- he got all kinds of academic awards in highschool and when he was aat military school he taught remeidial chem. to failing college students on weekends and was the youngest student ever to be listed as an approved tutor at the womans college near his school (he was 15 at the time) he is obviously very intelligent BUT put a standardized test infront of him and he just freezes up. (sigh) some students have "mastery" but simply dont test well.

he is the reason my younger boys started ACT testing early- so they would know what it was and what to expect BEFORE they took the one that counted.
