First, dh and I spent a LOT of time just snuggling (really, just snuggling:), watching movies and talking, talking, talking every night in the hotel.

Second was that fact that I did not think about homeschooling AT ALL for the entire time! I thought about how much I missed my boys, how much I love them and how they are growing as young men, but not one time did I think about math skills, the ACT (older son takes it tomorrow!), driving lessons, reading skills, etc...Not once!

I think a break like that is not just good for the homeschool momma's brain, but also for helping her be able to *really* SEE her kiddo as a whole person again, I mean *really* see them in that light, instead of a person they are educating and prepping for "real life".
