1 baguette of French bread, cubed
1/2 cup of butter, melted
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups of fresh broccoli, chopped
2 cups fully cooked ham, cubed
2 cups of milk
1/4 teaspon of black pepper
Toss bread cubes with butter.
Place half in a greased 13x9x2 in. baking dish.
Top with half the cheese and half the broccoli.
Sprinkle with all the ham.
Top with remaining cheese, broccoli, and bread cubes.
Whisk eggs, milk, and pepper together; pour over casserole.
Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least several hours).
Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking (uncovered) in a 350 deg. oven for 40 minutes.
Yield: 8 hearty servings
