Little Leni Sunshine Teriyaki Sauce

From Dollars to Donuts cookbook.

Teriyaki for use with Salmon or Chicken

1 Cup Soy Sauce (Bragg's Liquid Aminos is GF)
1 Cup light brown sugar
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
1/4 tsp red-pepper flakes (optional)
1 (2") piece of ginger, peeled and sliced into coins

Add all ingredients in a pan, bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Reduce to medium-low, simmer until slightly thickened, about 15 min.
Discard ginger, refrigerate for up to 5 days.
