Oh, my! I'm going to gain back all the weight I lost in the past couple years!
I've posted my recipe before for asparagus roll-ups. A friend recently told me that she adapted that recipe into a sandwich. Bliss!
Fry up bacon, and butter 2 slices of bread. Put cream cheese on the other side of one slice, then some canned asparagus spears (I think I used 5), then some bacon. Put on the other slice of bread and grill it all up.
Be careful, it's difficult to keep it together when you flip it all over. If I had a bigger pan, I probably would have cooked the halves separately and carefully assembled them on my plate, but my big pan had cooling bacon grease all through it.:o)
I want another one.
