These are not Cinnabon style BUT they are tried and true, and they are the best cinnamon buns I've ever made (and believe me when I say I've made a LOT of cinnamon buns).
1/4 c warm water
1 T yeast
2 1/2 c flour
2 T sugar
1/2 t salt
1 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 c butter/margarine
7/8-1 c buttermilk
Dissolve yeast in water.
Cut butter into dry ingredients and then add the buttermilk along with the yeast. Add flour if needed, and knead dough for a few minutes. Refrigerate overnight.
Next morning, roll out the dough and spread with melted butter/margarine and a mixture of 1/2 c brown sugar and 1/2 t cinnamon. You can also add raisins, if you like. Roll up tightly, seal edges and cut out rolls. Place on a greased pan and bake at 350 till done (15 minutes? I'm not sure!)
Drizzle with glaze:
1/2 c confectioner's sugar
1/2 t vanilla
enough milk to get correct consistency
